Return of Kim Jong-Nam to North Korea

August 27th, 2007 · No Comments

kjn2.jpgSeveral papers are reporting that Kim Jong-Nam has apparently returned to North Korea. The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper states that Kim Jong-Nam has returned to ‘proceed to the next step’ in his role, according to an unnamed source from America…

“Kim Jong Nam, 36, travelled from China to Pyongyang in late June, and his return “has decisive relations to the power transfer,” the man told The Associated Press by telephone from the United States. He asked not to be named, citing the sensitivity of the issue.”

The Chosun Ilbo, quoting an intelligence source, says Kim Jong-Nam is working in the Organization and Guidance Department of North Korea’s Worker’s Party. The Chosun Ilbo continues that:

“Kim Jong-nam ended his exile and returned to Pyongyang around June, coinciding with the unfreezing of allegedly illicit North Korean funds in a Macau bank. On Feb. 11, Kim junior became the target of intensive media attention when he showed up at Beijing Capital Airport, with press reports focusing on his lavish lifestyle in Macau. At the time, there was speculation that he went to Beijing to buy presents for his father’s birthday on Feb. 16, but the prevailing view was that he did not then fly to Pyongyang. “

Well, we’ll wait and see who meets who in the Leaders Summit. Could Kim Jong-Nam be returning for the Summit??? This soap opera only gets better and better, the more you watch it! Stay tuned!
