Plan for 2-4 October inter-Korean Summit

Yonhap has reported on the possible schedule for the 2-4 October inter-Korean Summit. The schedule includes:

  • 2 October morning, Roh to cross inter-Korean border, via western section DMZ
  • 2 October day, Roh to be greeted by Kim Yong-Nam on outskirts of Pyongyang
  • 2 October day, Roh to undertake talks with Kim Yong-Nam at Mansudae Assembly Hall
  • 2 October day, Roh to undertake possible meeting with Kim Jong-Il
  • 2 October evening state function to be followed by possible viewing of Arirang mass games performance at Rungrado May Day Stadium - Kim Jong-Il to possibly accompany Roh
  • 3 October morning, Roh to undertake talks with Kim Yong-Nam
  • 3 October day, Roh to undertake talks with Kim Jong-Il
  • 3 October evening, possible release of joint statement
  • 4 October morning, visits to industrial and cultural facilities, including West Sea floodgate, train locomotive plant, textile factory, art college and medical research institute
  • 4 October day, farewell state luncheon
  • 4 October afternoon, visit to Kaesong Industrial Complex
  • 4 October afternoon, departure

Does anyone have any other suggestions of what Roh should see or do in the socialist paradise of North Korea?

    Yeah man, maybe he should spend some time with the ‘pleasure troupe’ or even those straight up boot wearing, iron lady, traffic chiks!

    If Roh wanted to do something to promote reconciliation between North Korea and the US he would visit the USS Pueblo and demand that North Korea return the Pueblo to the United States.

    If he wanted to promote reconciliation with Australia, Roh could tell Kim that no insult was intended when Australian diplomats presented his dad with the grubby souvenir ash tray (repotedly picked up at Sydney airport during a drinking session while waiting for the connecting flight from Canberra) that stands amongst 90,000 tokens of esteem at Kim Il Sung International Friendship Exhibition Hall!!!

    Will he make the mandatory trip for all visitors to the shrine/statue of Kim Il Sung?

    Shane, I actually think Roh would prefer to kiss the ass of KJI than the stold cold statue of KIS!
