Accomodation for the Second South-North Summit has been worked out according to the ROKG. At a press conference on 20 September it was stated that:
- President Roh Moo-hyun will stay at the Paekhwawon State Guest House. Paekhwawon, is an official state residence reserved for visiting heads of state and was used by Kim Dae-jung, during the first inter-Korean summit in June 2000. Unification Minister Lee Jae-joung and other official attendants will also stay at Paekhwawon.
- 48 special attendants, mostly representatives of the South’s business community, will stay at the Potong River Hotel, with some of them likely to be assigned to the Juam Guesthouse due to the large size of the entourage.
- 89 ordinary attendants and 50 reporters and media workers will stay at the Koryo Hotel.
I wonder if North Korea will be able to find Roh Moo-Hyun a chair with armrests… During talks at Paekhwawon with Kim Dae Jung, Kim Jong Il had to reprimand his attendants for providing Kim Dae Jung with a chair that had no armrests.
