A new Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU) Insight article is now available. The article, by Cho Han-Bum, a Senior Research Fellow at the institute, looks at the implications and prospects of the Second Inter-Korean Summit. The opening lines set the tone of the article:
If Kim Jong-Il kept his word of making a visit to Seoul for the summit, the second inter-Korean summit would have significance itself, by contributing to the political trust between the two Koreas…and showing the North’s commitment to the first summit of 2000 [please note, I edited a little for clarity]
The piece presents an interesting viewpoint, and is well worth a read. Unfortunately the poor editing or lack of proofreading somewhat detracts from the readability of the piece. Check it out!
